This Creamy Garlick Chicken Breast is ideal with Pasta, Steamed Veggies, Mashed potatoes or Rice and great Main course dish for Lunch or Dinner. Filled with nutrients and good source of quality protein. And It is Yummy!! So lets get started.
INGREDIENTS: (2 servings)
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 5-6 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
- 1 medium onion
- 1/2 cup chicken stock or water
- 1 tsp lime juice
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (sub fresh cream)
- Olive oil
- Butter
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- Salt and pepper (as needed)
- *1 chicken stock cube (if using water)
First take the chicken breasts and give several poundings on
to them to flatten the thicker side.
Then season with salt and pepper on both sides like below and
set aside at least for 30 minutes.
Add crushed garlic cloves and let it infuse into the oil.
Sear chicken on both sides until cooked through like below.
Now keep the chicken aside for later.
Then remove the garlic cloves from the pan and add 1tbsp of
butter to the pan and add chopped onion like below
sauté the onion till golden brown and add chopped garlic and
sauté for about 15 seconds.
Now add 1/2 cup of water or chicken stock (add one chicken
stock cube if you are using water)
squeeze juice of half of a lime mix like below.
Now add 1tsp of dried parsley and oregano to the pan and simmer until onions are soft and liquid is reduced.
After that pour 1/2 cup of heavy cream and mix until combined like below.
And add a pinch of grated nutmeg and simmer until the sauce
reaches your desired consistency.
add salt for taste.
When sauce is ready add the chicken and simmer for 1 minute like
below.
