Mashed Potato Fries Recipe

 



These Mash Potato Fries are filled with cheese and herbs and that will make the Potato strips more fresh tasty. These potato strips are soft on outside and crispy on outside. This is a great snack that you can make easily anytime at a day in a short time. So let's get strated.


Ingredients

  • 500g Potatoes
  • 2/3 cup (80g) Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 Garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1/2 cup (60g) cup Cornstarch
  • Oregano/Parsley/Coriander or any fresh/dried herbs of your choice (optional)

First take a Large pot and fill it with water and add 1 tsp of Salt, small chunks of cut 500g of Potatoes and bring to boil.


Cook until fork tender like below.

 



Now drain the Potatoes and put into a bowl.


And add 1tsp of Salt, 1/4 tsp of Pepper, 1/2tsp of freshly dried herbs(oregano, parsley, coriander), 2 crushed Garlic cloves, 80g of Cheddar cheese (shredded).


Now start to mash into smooth puree like below.



After mashing add 60g of cornstarch and start to mix and mashing.


Then transfer the potato mixture into a piping bag fitted with a round tip like below


 

Now pipe into long strips on a cutting board or a parchment paper like below.


 

Now take another pot and add oil and heat the oil to 350F (180C)

 

Now add potato strips one by one into oil like below.


 

 

Fry until golden brown like below.


 

 

Now transfer the fried potato strips onto paper towels to drain excess oil like below.
